Who we are.

Speech Therapy Enhancement, Inc. exists to provide quality care to all people. We are passionate professionals that strive for excellence in care by meeting clients where they are at, stay up to date on the latest research, and above all else, showing love and care for every individual.

When we began.

Liz Alessi, owner, began her relationship with sister company, ABA Enhancement in March 2022. She continued to pursue her master’s degree in speech-language pathology and returned to the company to begin the process of creating an environment where SLPs and BCBAs can work together in pursuit of client success. Speech Therapy Enhancement, Inc. was established in 2025.

Now, clients are able to receive both speech therapy and ABA therapy at the same time for increased progress and less stress for our families.

What we do.

We provide clients and families with support to enhance communication skills necessary for all areas of life. We assess, diagnose, treat, educate, support, encourage, and collaborate for the overall success of each individual client.

Why we exist.

Speech Therapy Enhancement was started as the need for speech therapy services continues to increase. At this time, many waitlists for speech therapy in the area are 6 months to a year long. We exist to care for, love and support clients in their communication and learning journeys while emphasizing the importance of collaborating with other professions. Speech Therapy Enhancement, Inc. shares a location with ABA Enhancement as the two companies work hand-in-hand to provide high quality care.

FAQ

How do I begin services with STE?

This is absolutely a conversation that your SLP will have with you. Spoken communication is always an area to work toward, but each client is different. Spoken communication skills will always be monitored. However, if a child is non-speaking and is demonstrating preferred use of some other modality like sign language or a device, the SLP will continue to use this to promote communication.

This will depend on your insurance. We will work closely with each family and their insurance companies to recommend what is best for each client, making this as feasible as possible for all involved.

The goal of an SLP should always be to work themselves out of a job. Our goal at ABAE is to provide and teach skills to our clients that promote independence, self-advocacy, and enhanced quality of life. Graduation from speech therapy will always be the goal!

At the end of each session, the clinician will spend time with the parents going over the skills that were targeted during the therapy session and allow the parents to practice strategies right there. Families will also receive materials/instructions for further practice at home! The clinicians only see the clients for a limited amount of time, so we want to empower families to support their loved ones throughout the other 167 hours in each week!

We want to collaborate with them too! We can provide you with a “Release of Information” form that will allow us to communicate with the school SLP. We want to work with your team to promote as much growth as possible for your child in the area of communication.

At this time, STE does not have the resources to provide feeding or swallowing treatment. The Director can further discuss outside options with you if you feel this to be a concern.

No! So long as there is a need for speech therapy services and all insurance requirements are met, we will provide services to all clients.

Yes! We work closely and collaborate with our sister company ABA Enhancement. If your child receives additional services elsewhere (whether ABA, OT, PT, or something else), we want to provide collaborative care to meet all your child’s needs.
